Presenter Qualifications:

Judith Haber, PhD, APRN, FAAN (Moderator)
Dr. Judith Haber is Professor Emerita at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing and Executive Director of the Oral Health Nursing Education and Practice (OHNEP) Program. An internationally recognized leader in psychiatric nursing and oral–systemic health, she is the author of award-winning textbooks and the landmark AJPH article Putting the Mouth Back in the Head. Dr. Haber has received numerous national awards for excellence in nursing, education, and practice, and serves on several national committees advancing interprofessional oral health.

Mark Wolff, DMD
Dr. Mark S. Wolff is the Morton Amsterdam Dean of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and a Professor in the Department of Preventative and Restorative Dentistry. Prior to joining Penn Dental Medicine, he was professor and chair of cariology and comprehensive care at the College of Dentistry at New York University (NYU) and also the College’s senior associate dean for development and alumni relations. Dr. Wolff has completed numerous international research and oral health assessment programs and has been a lifelong advocate and dental provider for individuals with physical, intellectual, and developmental disabilities of all ages.

Barbie Vartanian
Barbie Vartanian is the Director of Oral Health Advocacy and Policy Initiatives at NYU College of Dentistry. Formerly the Executive Director of Project Accessible Oral Health, she has led efforts to improve health equity for individuals with disabilities. She also directed the Pacific Dental Services Foundation and serves on several nonprofit boards focused on disability and inclusion. As a mother to a son with Autism, Barbie brings both professional expertise and personal passion to her advocacy work.

​Donna Hallas, PhD, RN, PPCNP-BC, CPNP, PMHS, FAANP, FAAN
Donna Hallas, PhD, PPCNP-BC, CPNP, PMHS, FAANP, FAAN, is Clinical Professor and Director of the Pediatric NP Program at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. A certified pediatric nurse practitioner and pediatric mental health specialist, she practices in primary care with a focus on high-risk and behaviorally challenged children. Dr. Hallas is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Pediatric Health Care and a fellow of both the American Academy of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received NYU’s Distinguished Teaching Award in 2022. ​
